Stephen Ministry Definition
Stephen Ministry is a one-to-one, confidential, lay ministry. Stephen Ministers bring Christ's healing love to those undergoing stress; they are trained and commissioned by Anderson Hills Church.
Stephen Ministry Mission Statement
The mission of Stephen Ministry is to educate, equip and send our servants of God to proclaim through word and deed the love of Jesus Christ.
Stephen Ministry Vision
We provide effective Christian care to individuals in our test and community who are struggling with personal crises.
We are caregivers so that God can be a cure giver.
We are the way Christ cares for people through people.
We bring Christ's healing love to hurting individuals.
Stephen Ministry Objectives
Our objective is to increase the quantity and the quality of Stephen Ministry care through the:
Discovery and acceptance of additional care receivers,
Additional training and support for our current Stephen Ministers, and
Commissioning of additional Stephen Ministers and Stephen Leaders.
Stephen Ministry Process for Getting Help
To receive the help of a Stephen Minister, ask any of the Stephen Leaders or any member of the church staff.
Before reporting a friend or relative's confidential need, be sure to get his or her permission.
